An Old Song

Made in 3 days for a game jam. So it is very unpolished, but completable.

A short narrative experience made for Ludum Dare 55.

You need to summon a demon from an old song. He has the answers you need.

Controls

• (Hold) Left Click: Torch.
• (Hold) Right Click: Orb.

Notes

I wanted it much more elaborated and emotive. But well, I only had 3 days to make this game. And I wanted to add too much.

It didn't have the punch I envisioned. The voice acting is rushed too. Well, this is not a game for a jam, it's too big. It fits the theme tho, which is: summoning.

Mini Walkthrough

In case you don't know what to do. And so more people can experience the whole thing.

1st Area. Burn the logs near the controls text to enter the mini cave. Use the orb on the robot inside. That breaks the green wall.

2nd Area. Has a wooden door, burn it.

3rd Area. Find the 2nd robot below, use the orb on it to break a green wall ahead (you cannot see it from there). Use the orb in the spheres around the statue (CHEAT: to do it faster, type "beac" and they will all activate). That breaks the yellow rocks. Continue to the outside of the cave.

4th Area. Go below the temple (to the left) to find the 3rd robot. Use the orb on it. that bgreaks the green wall to enter it. Back up on it, use the orb to see what firepits are marked red. Fire only those firepits and then use the orb. (CHEAT: if you find it hard, type "correct" and it will fire them correctly and just use the orb.)

5th Area. Get close to the Monster. You get a Game Over screen but this one is fake. Do not press continue, instead walk some and it will disappear. Now you can use the orb on the 4th robot. That will break a green wall containing the 5th robot.

Walk to the altar, fire it. That will clear the smoke and let you pass. Enter the small cave up. Use the orb in the 5th robot. Now go to the highest part. And use the orb in the circle.

Watch the ending.
